Our MissionSammy’s House is committed to providing services to children with special needs in an inclusive environment in the Austin and surrounding areas, while providing family support through educational services that address issues relevant to caring for both special needs and typically developing children. Additionally, Sammy’s House strives to promote awareness and acceptance in the community of hte value of diversity.
Our PhilosophyAt Sammy’s House, we believe that all children have the ability to learn and contribute to the community. Children at Sammy’s House are provided with the tools and opportunities they need in order to learn.We believe that children can benefit from diversity. Children at Sammy’s House learn the values of acceptance, compassion, and the art of caring for one another. We believe that nurturing children and supporting families go hand in hand. All programs are developed with and for the family. We believe we can help our children by promoting public awareness and acceptance in the community on the value of diversity. By doing so, we can make the community a secure and enriching place filled with wonder for our children.
